Specialists in the repair and restoration of antique clocks from our workshop in Paulton near Bath. We repair all types of clock, from antique longcase clocks (or grandfather clocks) to carriage clocks, striking and repeating carriage clocks, mantle clocks, double fusee and triple fusee clocks and lantern clocks.

We restore all clocks as sympathetically as possible , and although we do not undertake clock case restoration ourselves we do, however, use M & S Bradbury's of Paulton. M & S Bradbury’s are also a family run high quality cabinet making business, accredited members of the British Antique Furniture Restorers Association and are included on the Conservation Register of the Institute of Conservation. It is also possible to arrange for clock dials to be hand painted and restored to a high standard.

Terry Taylor is a full member of the British Horological Institute and the British Watch and Clockmaker’s Guild. Lee Taylor is also a member of the British Watch and Clockmaker’s Guild.

Terry served his apprenticeship under his father, Stephen George Taylor who set up business in Paulton High Street in 1936 selling watches, clocks and jewellery in the shop and specialising in repairs of clocks from the workshops on the premises. The business grew and Terry set up a shop of his own in Midsomer Norton in the 1960s. Lee Taylor then joined the family business in 1982 and skills were passed down again from father to son. More recently the shop in Midsomer Norton has closed in order to allow Terry and Lee to concentrate on the repair and restoration side of the business with Terry undertaking the main of the watch repairs, carriage and mantle clocks, Lee’s emphasis is more on the larger clocks especially Longcase Clocks.
