Oak-cased Vienna Regulator with stepped top, glazed door and side panels, white enamelled dial, black Roman numerals, blue steel hands, signed by eminent clockmaker Benson of London.
8-day striking movement with brass weights and pendulum, striking on a gong. J.W. Benson Ltd was a highly regarded London clockmakers, trading from 1884, mainly based in Ludgate Hill.
Their craftsmanship led to them holding a number of Royal Warrants, including to Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales.
